The new standard ISO 45001 may delay to release in March 2018(Time:2016-12-07 10:51:04)

      ISO 45001 final version May delay to release in March 2018.The expected release in the second half of 2017 will be delayed later.
      At a week-long meeting in June 2016, ISO 45001, the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is developing a new occupational health and safety standard, formally entering the second edition of the draft International Standard (DIS2). Three weeks ago, the ISO working group ISO / PC283 / WG1 (hereinafter referred to as WG1), which was in charge of the development of new standards, met again in Lithuania.
      At that meeting, WG1 had made some progress in agreeing to the bulk of the text of DIS2 Clause 4 to Clause 10. WG1 will meet again in February 2017 in Vienna to complete the review of the comments received.
      According to the current progress and the latest news of the Working Group, ISO45001 release time schedule as follows :
· February 2017 - WG1 held a meeting to complete the opinion review
· March 2017 - Modification and preparation of DIS2
· April / May 2017 - Public DIS2 for translation
· June / July 2017 - Voting for DIS2
· September 2017 - PC283 and WG1 held a meeting to review DIS2 voting results
      If the DIS2 is successfully passed and does not require entry into the International Standard Final Draft (FDIS) phase, the new standard may be issued as early as October / November 2017. But if you need FDIS stage, the final release time may be up to March 2018.
